Pidgeon Cage

INITIALS | The Scheme of Things!! | Interview with J. 'n M. | Every Picture Tells a Story! | Lensesight | The Musical Box | V E R S E S | *Anthi's Poem | Pidgeon Cage | See me! Feel me!... | Past Tenses.

Is it too arrogant to express the hope that you will eventually write to me? That you will scribble your thoughts, that you will eloquently describe your last night's dreams and put them on a small piece of paper? That you will make a roll of it and tie it to a tender dove's foot and let it fly all the way over mountains and oceans to me?

This is my pidgeon cage! The place where your doves will rest and deliver the message. The place where you and I meet, where we link our imagination, our souls, our hearts to create a network of friendship and understanding.

Your comments may fire a debate, your thoughts may open new doors, your dreams may lead us to unknown places. And this corner of e-NALLAX wishes to be the epicentre of such marvels.

I know it sounds grandiose; I know it looks like a height so difficult to reach. Let me tell you that "Utopia" is a greek word describing the Impossible. Let us go for it! After all, what was so exciting about trying to do only what looked reasonable?

E-NALLAX Messenger Service

Imagine!! A lot of those small messages, written on tiny pieces of paper, carefully taken from the doves' feet, unfolded and scattered around... Me kneeling before them, wearing that broad smiling face and trying to sort them out by country, sex, etc. etc... Finally, after reading all of them in pure delight, I am about to undertake the heavy and happy task of putting up this particular page... Ain't I moderately good in creating imaginary, fairytalelike scenes??

Well truth is that neither the messages were innumerable, nor they were written on tiny pieces of paper. The papers around me are -of course- printouts of e-mails and our guestbook... And as about sexes? 80% are coming from females, as it happened with our previous edition; which made Natalia from Saint Petersburg, Russia, very curious. She is wondering with her unique sense of humor, if I am censoring mens' opinions, which would make e-NALLAX look like a feminist edition. I was schocked!! To change that image I am considering including some sports articles, maybe some stock market tips or some hard core sex stories to attract male population. Anyway Natalia's mail was really memorable, as containing criticism on the page's design (same old story... Tripod has provided some new designs and e-NALLAX is gradually going to use them) and expressing some feelings... e-NALLAX was something of an introduction to another side of Internet for Natalia, and going through its pages made her feel like a baby running loose and wild in an unknown territory, while later she felt like a little sister poking her nose in her older BROTHER'S clever books, which made him look so smart, talented and BIG... Not in the Orwellian sense I hope!! :):)Panagiotis from Iraklion Crete, on the other hand, thought that e-NALLAX is interesting and would be even more if it was written in greek, which might be true. True also would be that it would loose its international status, which is indispensable for us. Eleni, from Canada, who has been living in Greece for a couple of years, insists on having enjoyed every second of e-NALLAX while Cathy from Australia doubts my masculin identity!!! "How could a man possibly be so creative, innovative, humorous and passionate at the same time?" she wonders and intends to press charges on us for using her picture in our centerfold story (Every picture tells a story page), portraying a perfect 10 with inviting looks... Hope your female lawyer is that gorgeous too dear!! From Australia comes Rita for the second time, thanking us for sharing such wonderful works with her and the world, feeling a captive of each word and page of e-NALLAX, and wishing success beyond dreams... Such treasured friends we are happy to have. For the second time sent her compliments to us Eva, a greek Lady living in Toronto, who describes e-NALLAX as "fabulous, witty, nicely done, expressing to the fullest the enthusiasm and passion of the creator and giving to the people who love quality a reason to explore it, in a world so desperately in need of brain food". Eva!! Inspiring as always...

After a line's short break let us get to the 2nd male of our congregation. David from Rotterdam, who was invited by the greek flag on our home page, since he is a dedicated admirer of everything greek. He shared thoughts, feelings and some laughs with us and left e-NALLAX promising to be back. Changing hemispheres again, our next dove comes from Lima, Peru. Belongs to sweet Dinah, who feels thankful for allowing her to enter the intimacy of our thoughts. She believes she will be a faithful reader -which will be our constant pleasure- and wishes us good luck, of which we are terribly in need. Meanwhile Dimitra from Athens, who was the first to contact e-NALLAX in the year 2001, brought a sense of carelessnes in the atmosphere with her laughing mood and aura of youth. She sent us the file about the benefits of smiling, (see link below!). Kathryn from the States was thankful for being able to share so much of ourselves and for us letting her see the beauty of our words... The beauty lies in you really, dear Kathryn!! As about Lefki, a greek lady who kept her origins a secret... she felt like flying over our pages and the feeling was great. Sometimes moving swiftly and sometimes smoothly and lazily she enjoyed every minute of it. Her dove was pure white and beautiful.

What has also been incredibly wonderful was the contribution of some readers in creating e-NALLAX’s 3rd edition. People like Maria from Athens, Christos and my best man Giorgos from Athens as well (sorry if I am not mentioning everybody by name) have constantly been sending me all kinds of attachments (cartoons, gifs, jokes etc.) the use of which proves to be essential (see living proof at the bottom of this page). And then of course, last but not least, quite the contrary, came Anthi from Cyprus, whose wonderfully sensitive poem you can enjoy in a page created especially for her.

So you see folks. Things do not look that bad if we can have such kind of a contact. And for me it is honestly the most enjoyable time, sitting down and completing this specific page. Because at that time I feel that all those endless hours before a computer screen, being literally taken out of heavy professional and personal schedules, are not spent for nothing.
